Studio 3.03 St Margaret's House, Edinburgh

In this workshop you will
  • learn how to combine silk with merino wool to create nuno felt
  • use yarns and silk fibres for decoration
  • experiment with colour, texture and shaping
  • create a fine felt accessory

What to bring: 
  • a couple of old towels (ie small bath towel and a hand towel)
  • bubblewrap (50cm x 3m) - you can buy this at the Post Office
  • a plastic carrier bag (for taking home felt and towel)
  • sharp scissors
  • bar of glycerine soap (Pear's soap can be purchased in most supermarkets)
  • notepad/pen
  • a packed lunch
  • (optional but fun) old silk scarves, hankies, mohair knitting yarns...any fibres that you think might be good for decorating your scarf. If in doubt, bring what you have.
