Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers Summer School 2019

Many months after first being invited to teach on the AGWSD Summer School 2019, finally, in August, 10 students joined me at Askham Bryan College, York, for a week of Creating Fine Felt. And what an adventure it was.....find out more on my blog.

Improving technique....

So far this year, I have...

• extended my role within the International Feltmakers Association to include writing the Newsletter for Region 13 (Scotland).
• spent time in Farnham and in Llantrissant, attending workshops that have taught me new techniques and different approaches to feltmaking.
• enrolled on the ​CiFT (offered by the IFA to all its members), and and started work on the first module. I hope to understand more about different wools, explore techniques and learn about the origins of feltmaking.
