This has been the week that was. As usual I have been juggling the whole feltmaking business with helping my husband run our computer training school. However, it's been a little bit more pressured than usual with the opening for Ashore coming up tomorrow.
So, Monday saw me at Art's Complex with Jiri Holcik (the wood carver I'm exhibiting with) lugging huge pieces of cherry tree into Gallery 3. Needless to say, I was doing more of the gaffering and less of the lifting. We then started putting my pieces up on the wall.
Tuesday, we were in again, this time with Sue Horsburgh (the other feltmaker in the exhibition) as well. We spent most of the afternoon putting her work on the walls, rearranging the cherry tree trunks, finding a drinks table, and making endless lists of what still had to be done.
From there, we went to the computer school to work on a price list, artists' profiles and, most importantly, a shopping list for the opening night soiree!
Anyway, the long and the short of it is....that it's almost tomorrow and I'm so excited! Yes, we still have quite a lot to do, but it will all be ready for 28 October at 6.30pm.
Looking forward to the party!
