The final countdown has started for the INSPIRED exhibition. Just four weeks on Saturday, and our show will be open to the public. The poster is at the printers and this week, we'll be sending invitations to the opening event. If you'd like to come along, please get in touch. So roll on Day 1 - 10 September 2016. It's already shaping up nicely. #inspiredbyfelt |

Where does creative inspiration come from? For Heather Potten, it's often found during her travels in Scotland and abroad. These photographs are from Heather's beautiful new felter's calendar for 2017, which will be available to buy at Inspired. Photos by Heather Potten and Alice Florence Orr

"I work with natural wools and silks to create art pieces and wearable accessories from hand felted material. "What I love about felt is that you can get hold of the colour. If you were painting you have to use a paintbrush or a crayon. With the fleece you actually hold the colour in your hands and mix them by piling them on top of each other. They blend together really well." SARAH BROOKER
